RESISTING PREJUDICE

 

 

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:28

I am sorry to let you know that we still have a hearty dose of prejudice in America today. We don’t have to look much further than our own churches to see segregation alive and well in the United States.

 

Don’t believe the lie that we segregate by choice. We segregate because we do not offer the arms of love freely to every person who steps through our doors. God made one Church!

 

God is here for all people. He gave us distinctions not to divide us but so we would complement one another.

 

In Isaiah 56:6-7 He says, “And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to serve him, to love the name of the Lord, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant—these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer.” It’s time to search our hearts.

 

The Church of Jesus Christ must lead the way in eradicating racism in this nation. We must make known to the world that we are all equal in the sight of God. Only then can we fight the enemy of prejudice in our very midst.
